We say we want to write, and yet we never seem to make enough time.
So this is your time. To reinvigorate. To find new ways in. To explore different perspectives. Join award-winning author Jane Cornes and guest tutor Alice Night in one of the world's most beloved wine-growing regions. The countryside around Margs is home to some of Australia's most iconic wineries (Leeuwin Estate, Vasse Felix, Cullen), along with over 100 cellar doors open for tastings. You will be staying at Adamsons Riverside, a heritage guesthouse that balances modern comforts with rustic charm within a few minutes' walk of the town's many cafes and restaurants. All rooms are air-conditioned and have access to a fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle. The shape of each day Your mornings will be spent in writing workshops with Jane and Alice, exploring new ways to access rich, evocative prose. After lunch (including one very special long table lunch at a local winery) the afternoons are your own – for beach walks, gallery visits, snoozing and, who knows, maybe even a little writing.... A daily writing deadline of 500 words will keep you focused, and every evening after dinner we will gather in the property's cosy lounge, to chat, to share and to enjoy the company of like-minded others. A $500 deposit secures your spot, with a further $1,000 payable on 30 June and the balance due by 31 August. Email to secure your spot. |
